A Physical Theatre Ensemble Play for young actors
RED follows the interconnected stories of 18 school girls as they navigate the challenges they encounter in the course of a regular school day. This contemporary spin on the classic fairytale is full of humour and fun as the girls struggle to overcome the problems that beset them on their personal journeys.
RED is a tale about personal growth, and the nature of the wolves that we each encounter on our paths. It is a story about moving beyond fear, and the beauty and strength of friendships.
Filled with identifiable characters and relatable age appropriate conflicts RED has multiple roles for an entirely youth cast. RED was written for young actors between the ages of seven and fourteen. It is meant to be performed as a physical theatre/ensemble play in which the cast remains onstage throughout the performance. The set and props are minimal consisting only of the chairs and props used by the actors.

Before Eve is a one act, tour de force example of physical theatre that explores the politics of religion and the far reaching psychological consequences of feminine icons of power denied.
Before Eve unravels the stories of two women; contemporary Eve, the daughter of a minister, and Innana, a priestess of a pre-patriarchal society when God was thought of as female. Eve’s story of her aspiration to become a minister and her conflicted relationship with her father is contrasted with Innana’s account of the demise of her religion and society. Ms Prokop was nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore award for her performance.
